Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you offer print packages? Can you help me order photo gifts? Will you design an album for me?
A: Individual prints can easily be purchased through your online gallery! They are processed by a professional photo studio, and there are many options for sizes, finishes, etc. I am happy to design an album for you for an extra fee, which depends on the type of album you'd like.

Q: Will you bring props?
A: I do often bring
simple props for portrait sessions, like a stool(s) and blanket to sit on. I've also used bubble machines, Radio Flyer tricycles, etc. and am happy to bring them along if requested. Contact me before your session and I’d be happy to discuss the look and feel you’re interested in and bring props that will help achieve that look. I'm also happy to work with props that you provide - items that are special to you can add a lot of personality to a session!

Q: How many people can be included in our portrait session? Can we include grandparents/aunts and uncles/cousins/pets?
A: A normal portrait session includes members of your immediate family, for example, parents and children. Additional people can be included with my extended family package. One family pet can be included at no extra charge, but please let me know if you are bringing a pet so I can make sure our session location allows animals. Additional pets can be included for $25 each.

Q: How do we get our final images?
A: I will upload all of the high-resolution files to an online gallery, and send you the link. Then you can easily view and share the photos, and purchase prints from the gallery. You can also download the high-resolution pictures from the gallery if your package included them, or pay for individual digital files if your package did not.

Q: Is there any limit to how I can use the images?
A: Images are for personal use only, but that includes getting prints and photo gifts made, sharing them online, sending the files to family and friends, etc. Please do not edit the final images.

Q: Can I give someone a photo session with you as a gift?
A: Absolutely! I’d be happy to discuss what type of photo session you’re interested in and create a personalized certificate for your recipient!

Q: What types of payment do you accept?
A: I accept credit cards via Square, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or cash. No checks please.

Q: What is required to book our session?
A: I require a $50 retainer fee for normal portrait sessions to solidify your photo session date and time. Weddings and large events will have different deposits depending on the individual job.

Q: What if the weather is bad?

A: I am happy to reschedule to a mutually agreeable time and place if there is inclement weather.

Q: When is the final payment due?
A: The final payment is due the day of our photo session together.

Q: When will we receive our photos?
A: I make every attempt to get your photos to you as soon as I can. Usual turn around time is 1-2 weeks. If you have special circumstances we can discuss getting the photos done sooner.

Q: Will you post sneak peeks on your Facebook site or Instagram feed?
A: I love posting sneak peeks, but I understand not everyone wants their images on Facebook, so I will ask you at our session if you’d like me to post a preview. If I do not receive your permission, I won’t post your images on Facebook.

Q: What should we wear?
A: Good question! Check out my guide on choosing outfits here!

Q: Can I have the RAW files?

A: I don't give out RAW files, but I am happy to re-edit a photo if you are unhappy with it for any reason.
